Eustis Hospitality

The Eustis business community welcomes you to our town and many offer discounts and specials to the guests of Great Nebraska Hunting.  You will receive these specials upon arrival.

We invite you to explore what the local shops have to offer and the services that are available in Eustis. Eustis offers very unique, high quality food products.  While in town, don't miss out on this opportunity.

The following is a sample of businesses that welcome and will assist you in your stay in the Eustis Area.

Wurst Haus (German for sausage house) this grocery or market is famous for the sausages that Gregg Wolf (third generation family ownership) and crew prepare daily. Products are 100% made on site and you will find no other to compare. This is a must stop for hard tack, summer, braut, wiener, liver and polish with other choices available.  Gregg ships nationally and would be glad to ship to your home.  Give Gregg a call at 486-3251 or better yet order online at www.thewursthaus.com Gregg can also make your "take" into sausage and he will be glad to smoke your pheasant or turkey and ship it to you when ready.

The Eustis Pool Hall is just what the name states. This restaurant with it's unique decor is a renovated pool hall from the early 1900’s that offers a full menu with Mexican specialties and "one of a kind margaritas." They also offer "Upper Crust" pizza in the evenings. (They are celebrating their 102nd anniversary)  Contact Lynn, Todd, or Sedonia at 486-3801.  (You can even order a polish from the Wurst Haus)

The Der Deutsche Markt (be careful how you pronounce this one) is a unique German gift shop.  You won't be disappointed in their selection or quality.  If you need a special gift for the spouse or other special occasion, your sure to find it here.  (This is a great place to purchase "bait" so you can return for another hunt) They also offer baked German foods and Wurst Haus sausage products are available also.  They are open October-December and May-June or by appointment.  Give Monika or Jan a call at 486-5344 or check out their web site at www.derdeutschemarkt.com

Thirsty after a good day’s hunt? The Darn-Small Pub offers a full service bar with a friendly atmosphere. This facility is located in the old Pioneer bank. The old vault now serves as the cooler. Gaylord, Brian, Kathy and Deb welcome you for a relaxing evening.  Phone: 486-5670 (Drink Responsibly-you don't want to much German coming through) Check out the monthly activities at www.darnsmallpub.com

Still thirsty? The Schnapps Haus (by now you know haus means house) is a widely stocked beverage store offering your favorites.  They also offer homemade (right here in Eustis) pretzels.  These are not the pretzels you are most likely thinking of.  These are a soft, doughy, delicious snack.  Again our ancestry shines through as the recipe came from our German families.   George and Annette can be reached at 486-5510.

Our local Senior Citizens Center offers homemade noodles.  These are made from scratch by our seniors and you will not find anything like these at your local supermarket.  Contact Cindy at 486-3471.

The Village Pie Maker offers old-fashioned, made from scratch pies just like your grandmother  made.  The light flaky crust is homemade as well as the best ingredients.  Owner Judith Larsen is proud to say we use "No Canned Stuff."  With 16 varieties to choose from, you will find a flavor to take back home.  Judith would be glad to visit with you. Phone: 308-486-2383.  Taste why her business has grown to 800 plus pies per week. Located in the old unique creamery building.  Pies are available at the Wurst Haus! http://www.villagepiemaker.com

Eustis 66 Service is a full service filling station. Fuel to flats is their business. Located under the water tower.  Ed, Dan and Brent are available for your service needs.  Phone: 486-3261 (If I ask nice they might even fix a flat on a Sunday)

A and T Auto, a NAPA dealer or the Eustis Body Shop can assist in any parts or repairs that may occur on your visit. Call Andrew or Tanya at (486-3241) or Joe at the body shop at (486-5515) and they will assist in anyway they can.  (My advise-drive something dependable so you won't have to visit with these nice people)

Our local bank (First Bank and Trust Co) can assist in those times when cash is running low with their A.T.M and they also offer all hunting permits.  (Yea, I know there bankers, but they 're a pretty good bunch)

Village Apothecary (another one of those fancy names) (I don't know what it means and I'm afraid to ask) is our local pharmacy and they will be glad to assist, if the need arises in this area.  Call 784-2111.  After hours call 784-248.
